Body found on Horn Island as search continues for missing teen
A body has been found on Horn Island Monday morning as officials continue the search for missing teenager Nolan Wells.
Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter tells WXXV the body was found around 8:45 Monday morning on the western tip of the island.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined, and the Jackson County Coroner was dispatched to the island today.
Multiple agencies have been searching on or near the island since Wells was last seen on July 4, including the U.S. Park Service, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Marine Resources, and United Cajun Navy.
