Body found on Delta State University campus identified

CLEVELAND, Miss. (WXXV)- The body found on the campus of Delta State University has been identified.

According to the university, the victim has been identified as a student, Demartravion ‘Trey’ Reed of Grenada, Mississippi.

Classes were canceled on Monday after Reed’s body was found on campus.

Delta State officials say university police and local authorities were immediately notified and an investigation is underway.

Delta State University Chief of Police Michael Peeler says that there is no evidence of foul play and no ongoing threat to campus safety.
