Body found near Seaman Road in Vancleave

Jackson County Sheriff’s investigators are trying to identify a body found Wednesday morning.

Chief Deputy Sheriff John Ledbetter says shortly before 8 a.m., a county maintenance employee found the body in the woods about 50 yards from Seaman Road in Vancleave. The chief says the body is that of a man and it appears to have been in the woods several days.
