Body Found in Gulfport

This afternoon, Gulfport police responded to a call about a dead body near the Crossroads Shopping Center.
A person discovered the body of an adult male in a ditch near the Cinemark Theatre. The body has been identified, but has not been released at this time.
Gulfport police say that no foul play is suspected in the death. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says the man had a history of medical issues. “We know who the individual is. He has been identified and we’re working to get his family notified. He does have extensive medical history and was recently released from the hospital at Garden Park.”
The body was found shortly after noon today.
