Body found at home in Gulfport

Police responded to the home of Father Jesus in downtown Gulfport on Monday afternoon.

Jason Ducre, spokesman for Gulfport Police, said Father Jesus reported the death at his home on 11th Street. Police found the man in the home about 4 p.m.

No foul play is suspected, but the body is being sent to the state Crime Lab for an autopsy.

Ducre said the man died in his room where he was staying in the house.

Harold Ray Laster Jr., legally changed his name to Father Jesus in 2018.
