Bobby Edwards Retires From WXXV-TV; Don Moore Named Station’s New General Manager

Gulfport, MS, – September 22, 2021 – Morris Multimedia and WXXV-TV today announced that Bobby Edwards, the General Manager for WXXV-TV has decided to retire effective October 29, 2021. Don Moore will serve as the new General Manager for the FOX, NBC and CW affiliate serving the Gulfport-Biloxi television market beginning October 1, 2021.

Edwards has been in his current role since February of 2006 and has a total of 40 years in the broadcast industry. During Edwards’ tenure as General Manager, he played a critical role in helping the station introduce the NBC and CW affiliations as well as launching News 25.

“I am so thankful for the last 16 years to be at WXXV. I have truly appreciated the opportunity to work with and develop long lasting friendships  and helping local businesses,” said Bobby Edwards.

“Bobby has been a wonderful leader at WXXV. I want to thank him for doing a great job and for all his hard work over the years. We’re going to miss him,” said Charles H. Morris, President/CEO of Morris Multimedia, owner of WXXV-TV.

“We were fortunate to have Bobby as the General Manager of WXXV. His experience, leadership and achievements will not be forgotten,” stated Bobby Berry COO of Morris Multimedia’s broadcast division.

“Don Moore brings more than 30 years of progressive and diverse experience in broadcasting, having served as Production Manager, Director of Operations and General Sales Manager at other television stations. Don has also served in statewide economic development, corporate marketing, and most recently as Senior Vice President of an advertising agency,” said Berry.

“I am truly excited to be back in broadcasting to serve the Gulf Coast community through my employment with WXXV 25,” Moore stated.
