Bluey makes a stop at the Mississippi Aquarium

Popular kids cartoon character Bluey made a stop at the Mississippi Aquarium this weekend, bringing long lines to see the friendly blue colored Australian cattle dog.

Saturday’s attendance was the highest of the year so far for the aquarium as parents brought their children for tons of hugs and pictures.

Aquarium staff say the lines were so long it was almost out to the entrance gates as people sought pictures with their television friend.

In fact, Bluey’s meet and greet spot had to be pushed further inside the building.

People from across the Gulf South attended the meet and greet and say seeing Bluey has brought joy and memories their families will cherish for a lifetime. “We told them this morning and they were very excited. And we’ve been to the aquarium before but this is only our second time and it was my husband’s first time coming so they’re excited to see the aquarium and to see Bluey today.”

“She’s probably been watching it for about a year now. Like since she’s actually able to actually understand the show and she really likes it. She likes when they play all their different games and have fun. ”
