Blueprint to Beating USM: Ed Orgeron Taking a Page from UTSA’s Book

LSU now has the blueprint to beating Southern Miss after watching the Roadrunners and their offensive fireworks display do so in week six.
To find out how they did it, Tigers interim head Coach Ed Orgeron picked up the phone and got the inside scoop from UTSA head man Frank Wilson. “I did talk to Coach Frank and I complimented him, I watched his game. Especially, I liked the way his offense had some explosive plays on them. I know his team competed very well. As you know, Coach and I are very good friends. I talk to him every Sunday. I did make a call to him last night and he did warn me that those guys are going to be ready to play and I knew they would,” said Orgeron.
The last time Southern Miss played the Tigers was 1994 when Hopson was serving as a graduate assistant in Baton Rouge. The Black and Gold won that game 20-18.
The old friends kick things off at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on the SEC Network live from Death Valley.
