Blue Angels coming to Biloxi
The Blue Angels flying team will be soaring over Biloxi in July 2018.
The event called ‘Blues over Biloxi’ was announced by Mayor FoFo Gilich today and it will be held over the weekend of July 21 through the 22nd. The two day event will be centered off the beach front near the Great Lawn between Harrah’s and Margaritaville.
Two U.S. Navy Blue Angels attended the press conference today and told News 25 that they are excited to be back and flying over Biloxi. Lt. Andre Webb said, “You can see one through four, our diamond pilots, and then five and six, our solo pilots. At the end of the show you will see all six come together in what we call our signature delta formation that we have had since 1958. Before the jets even come out you will see Fat Albert which is a c130 flown by an all Marine air crew.”
Lt. Dave Steppe said, “I think my favorite part of the whole show is seeing the whole team come together. We work a little bit apart throughout the season and our winter training, but during the shows you see us all kind of gel as a team.”
The show will be open to the public and free of charge.
