Blood drive held in honor of fallen Bay St. Louis officers

The inaugural memorial blood drive honoring Sergeant Robin and Officer Estorffe was held in Bay St. Louis.

Bay St. Louis Police and the Blood Center have teamed up to organize this drive as another way to honor the lives of the officers.

The Blood Drive ran from this morning until 4 PM this afternoon at the Bay St. Louis Community Center on Blaize Avenue.

Paul Adams, the public relations manager for the Blood Center says all donations today will go towards saving lives in our local communities.

“Last year on this day, this community lost two decorated police officers and the community is coming out to kind of celebrate their lives but also help out the community,” said Adams. “Every time you donate blood you’re able to save 3 lives So all these folks are rolling up their sleeves can really make a difference to the patients in our hospitals locally.”

If you missed out on today’s blood drive, you can still go donate at any of the Blood Centers locally along the coast.
