Blevins Won’t Seek Re-Election

While one coast mayor has decided to run for re-election…another has decided to step away.
Pascagoula Mayor Jim Blevins has announced he will not be seeking re-election.
Blevins has been mayor for the last four years.
While speaking with our media partner the sun herald, he says he’s enjoyed the job, but it’s time to devote more time to his family and volunteer work.
So far, three people have qualified to run for mayor of Pascagoula…Dane Maxwell, Jenafer Gurley and Lazaro Rovira.
The deadline to qualify is 5 this afternoon.
