Blessing of the Jeeps takes place over the weekend

This Saturday was the Annual Blessing of the Jeeps event.

Blessing of the Jeeps is a ceremonial prayer given by the priest of St. Thomas Catholic Church Long Beach to ensure a safe riding season for each jeeper and their passenger.

Once the blessing is shared the parade of jeeps passed the priests who then threw Holy Water upon the jeeps.

This event is a fundraiser with the goal of supporting both of the church’s life teen groups as well as the Batman’s LBMS Animal Rescue Foundation of Long Beach.

With festive jeeps, raffles, giveaways and more, those who attended had a great time while supporting a good cause.

All funds raised at this event will be split evenly between Life Teen and Batman’s Animal Rescue.
