Blessing of the Fleet in Biloxi this weekend
It’s a big weekend for the shrimping industry in South Mississippi as the annual Blessing of the Fleet events begin.
This year marks the 94th edition of this time-honored tradition. Tomorrow night is the Shrimp Queen Pageant where this year’s queen will officially be crowned.
On Sunday at 2 p.m., decked out shrimp boats will line the Biloxi Channel behind Casino Row where they will receive a blessing for a safe and bountiful shrimp season.
