Black History Month Spotlight Preview: Getting to know George ‘Chuck’ Patterson

In honor of Black History Month here at WXXV we are spotlighting individuals who are making a difference in their community.

To finish out the month of February, WXXV News 25’s Everett Ganier Jr. stopped by the Gulfport Sportsplex to introduce a member of the Mississippi Move Foundation. Here’s a sneak peek at that interview.  Mississippi Move Foundation Co-Founder and Board Member George ‘Chuck’ Patterson said, “My start or introduction into community involvement begins in Mobile, AL which is my hometown. My dad was a Baptist minister, he also had deep ties to the Boys & Girls Club in the local community center. So, we were always was having activities at church. We were always involved with the people that lived close to the church”.

Make sure to catch the full interview of our final Black History Month Spotlight starting Wednesday during our noon newscast!
