Terry Powell, Edgewater Mall General Manager said, “we had people waiting out the department stores to get in. we had people waiting outside and inside the mall since 10 o’clock last night.”

Yes, you heard that correctly… shoppers were in line at 10 o’clock Thursday night- eager to snag bargains.
A very early start, despite the majority of stores in Edgewater mall not opening their doors until 7 am.
Now, what could possibly make an individual for go sleeping?

Brandon Maitineli, a shopper said,”deals.”

There’s no time like the present to shop this holiday season

Destiny Medina, a shopper said, “shopping for Christmas for my family because i don’t like paying 100 percent i like that 50% off.”

Rainey Smith, a shopper said, “i woke up really early but it’s worth it for 50% off.”

For others it’s not only about the discount but the feeling of comradery when shopping with others.

Brandon Maitineli, a shopper said, “i came here with my friends. that was really the only reason i was able to get myself out of bed this morning.”

Olivia Cullen, a shopper said, “thanksgiving is for family and Friday is for friends.”

Jace Richards, a shopper said,”sometimes i don’t even end up buying anything but just like to go out and meet new people.”

Black Friday- the start of the Christmas shopping season.
