Birthday celebration for WWII veteran happening February 10th

On February 10, a World War II veteran will be turning 100 years old.

William Jarrell served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Independence, even surviving a torpedo strike on the ship!

A birthday celebration is being put on by Veterans Outreach and takes place at the Hurley Community Center.

The birthday is free to the public and starts at noon, lasting until 4.

Gifts are not required, but a gift table will be set up for anyone who wants to bring one for Mr. Jarrell.
