Sam Lucey is the evening meteorologist for WXXV 25 News at 5, 6, 9, and 10 p.m.
A Minnesota native, she moved to Mobile in 2014 to study meteorology at the University of South Alabama, driven by a lifelong passion for weather and storm tracking.
Sam began her career in Monroe, LA, covering everything from flooding and winter weather to tornado outbreaks. In 2018, she relocated to Panama City, FL, and reported through the devastation of category 5 Hurricane Michael, which left a lasting impact on the Florida Panhandle and her career.
After stepping away from News in 2019 to focus on family life, she later expanded her skill set in digital marketing and social media management. Today, she brings that same go-getter energy back to the weather desk with a deep desire to keep viewers informed and prepared for whatever storms come their way.
In her free time, she loves to explore the Gulf Coast, watch or play a variety of sports, including hockey, and spend time with her 2 children, dog, and cats.
