Biloxi’s Colten Keith named Gatorade Player of the Year
Already heralded as one of the nation’s top high school baseball prospects prior to his move to Biloxi, Arizona transplant Colten Keith is now the best player in Mississippi.
The Indians’ junior third baseman has been tabbed Gatorade Player of the Year for Mississippi having led Biloxi in every conceivable offensive category which include batting average, on-base percentage, slugging, runs, RBI, doubles, triples, home runs, walks, all while striking out just eight times.
Despite coming up short to St. Martin in 6A South State, Big Red was the most dominant team in South Mississippi this season, running the table in region 8 and going 29-5 overall.
Keith is currently out of town, but we’ll try to catch up with the Arizona State commit next week.
