Biloxi Yacht Club Reaches Out Harrison County
Today in Biloxi, a group is coming together to do their part to make John Harrison Doucet’s Road to recovery a little smoother.
The Biloxi Yacht Club will host a fish fry fundraiser, where they’ll be dishing out plates of Biloxi bacon in an effort to raise whatever they can to assist John Harrison and his family. Doucet was shocked this September when the sailboat he was hauling came into contact with a live power line at Gulfport Yacht Club. Doucet is currently being treated at the Joseph M. Still burn center in Augusta, Georgia.
Barry Barq Biloxi Yacht Club, “At 6 o clock, anyone can come down and purchase a $10 plate of fried mullet that some of our members have caught. And potato salad and beans. It’s only $10 a plate. If you would like to stay and have dinner, we will have go boxes if you’d like to take it home, but the main thing is we’re raising money to help John Doucet and his family and hopefully some kind of recovery for him.”
You can call ahead to pre-order plates for your friends & family by calling the Biloxi Yacht Club at 228-374-6344.
