Biloxi VFW 2434 hosting Thanksgiving dinner for veterans without families
No one should spend the holidays alone. That’s why the Biloxi VFW Post 2434 is holding their first ever Thanksgiving Dinner for Veterans without families this Sunday, November 21st at 2 p.m.
With just a few days left before the big feast, House Committee Chairman Jim Strzalkowski says they are in need of more food donations of any kind.
Strzalkowski tells News 25 he has personally benefitted from an event like this and stresses the importance of taking care of others. “It was so heartfelt and touching. People came in who are normally by themselves, thanked us, and the tears flowed. It was just hugs, kisses, and welcoming them in as family and they really, really appreciated.”
