Biloxi Softball Team Gives Back to Community
Biloxi High School softball players teamed up to make a local Gulf Coast family’s Christmas a little brighter.
Over the past couple of weeks, members of the team gathered gifts for a family with four children who attend school in the Biloxi School District. Gifts included rollerblades, bicycles, footballs and more. The team met up today to load all of the gifts into their coach’s truck before delivering it all to the family.
Players tell News 25 that the team wanted a way to show people in their own community just how much they care. Softball player Stephanie Scott said, “I mean, it’s really, you get that giving feeling. I’ve always been a giving person. My teammates have been. It’s just a nice thing to do. Christmas is all about sharing and giving and love for people.”
The team also provided the parents of the family with holiday gift cards.
