Biloxi Shuckers trio promoted to Triple-A Nashville

Today, the Milwaukee Brewers announced the promotion of three top prospects and former Biloxi Shuckers to the organizations Triple A ball club.

Prospects Sal Frelick, Garrett Mitchell, and Joey Wiemer will continue their careers playing for the Nashville Sound as they push toward the Major League.

Frelick continues his quick rise, making his way to the Sound just over one year since he was drafted and posted a 3.17 batting average with the Shuckers.

Mitchell played 78 games with Biloxi, including 43 this season, with a batting average of .277 with the team.

Weimer, the former Brewers’ Minor League Player of the Year, spent all of 2022 in Biloxi with 15 home runs in 84 games played.
