Biloxi Shuckers RHP named Southern League Pitcher of the Week

Another guy that could make it to the show sooner than later is current Biloxi Shucker Corbin Burnes.
Today the man with the goggles was named Southern League Pitcher of the Week and why not. Burnes didn’t allow a single run in two scoreless starts this week, lowering his minor league leading ERA to 1.06.
During that span, he registered 11 strikeouts across 13 innings, giving up nine hits and walking just one batter in the process.
Meanwhile, the Shuckers are back on the road this week, taking on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp for game two of the series tonight. Shuckers take this one by the final score of 8-4.
