Biloxi Shuckers host Buddy Cruise Night

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — At MGM Park on Friday, the Biloxi Shuckers hosted Buddy Cruise Night to highlight children with disabilities.

Pass Christian native Luke Putnam, who has autism, sung an amazing rendition of the national anthem.

That was followed by Gulf Coast Down Syndrome Society self-advocate Patrick McIlwain, who threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The Shuckers also took the field in specially designed jerseys representing children with all kinds of disabilities, which were then auctioned off at the conclusion of a 5-2 loss against the Tennessee Smokies.
