Biloxi Shuckers five-run third inning propels third win of the year with 6-3 final

The Biloxi Shuckers hosted the Pensacola Blue Wahoos for game two of their first homestand of the year. Right-handed pitcher Manuel Rodriguez got the start on the mound.

The Shuckers get one run in the first inning while the Wahoos get a solo bomb in the top of the fourth. Biloxi would respond in the bottom of the fourth with five runs, headlined by a Matthew Woods two-run home run over the right-field fence. Pensacola would score one run each in the seventh and the eighth but it wouldn’t be enough as the Shuckers would win their third game of the year 6-3. Rodriguez gets the win with 5 strikeouts through 5.2 innings pitched.

Game three will be played Thursday night with a 6:35pm first pitch.
