Biloxi Seafood Festival takes place this weekend
A celebration of Biloxi’s seafood heritage kicks off this weekend at the Biloxi Town Green.
The Biloxi Seafood Festival is home of some of the best seafood that the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer.
The two day festival is open on Saturday and Sunday and will feature live entertainment, activities for kids, and delicious food.
For those interested in some friendly competition, a gumbo cook-off will take place all day Sunday.
Biloxi Chamber of Commerce Director Rachael Seymour tells News 25 that the 38-year-old seafood festival has become something that a lot of people look forward to. “That’s one of my favorite things, going out and seeing those familiar faces. You know, seeing those folks who are not family by blood, but family by being Mississippi Gulf Coastians. You see them, you smile, and you get a hug, everybody is hot and sweaty, but we love it. It’s just a wonderful celebration.”
The fest gets going on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the gate for $5 for both days.
