Biloxi Road Improvement Project Update

Meanwhile, crews are paving the way for the completion of the Biloxi’s major road improvement project. Known as the “North Contract,” construction has been underway in the city for five years to repair and improve 55 miles of roads in Biloxi. City officials say now, this project is in the home stretch, with just six streets waiting for their initial coat of asphalt.

The remaining roads are Parker, Lameuse north of Elder, Reynoir, Couevas south of Division, Forrest and Benachi. The ongoing construction has drawn criticism from Biloxi residents and businesses over the years leaders with the contracting company responsible for the project say they’ve faced many challenges, but their workers are continuing to go full speed ahead, currently working in record heat.
