Biloxi Premiere Luxe Cinema opens

A brand new movie theater has opened its doors at the Edgewater Mall.

Grab a soda and some popcorn because there is a brand new movie theater in Biloxi with eight screens. Food and Beverage Director Raven Harris said, “We’re just having a day where everyone can come out and enjoy a free movie, check out our pizza pub, and just get a good look at our theater.”

Hundreds of people of all ages came out to enjoy the new theater. Moviegoer Emily Freter said, “This is awesome. I get to spend time with my son. He loves these movies. We’re going to see Hotel Transylvania. So we get to do something fun together, eat some junk food, and cuddle.”

This is the first movie theater to be built south of Interstate 10 since Hurricane Katrina. “We know it’s a really big deal. Since Katrina, things have been rebuilding and we are really, really excited to be a part of that,” said Harris.

Lead Associate Director Tiffany McDowell said, “To bring in jobs of any type, it helps the community. That is what we are here for. We’re here for the community, to help build a partnership.”

A movie has not been shown at Edgewater Mall since the ‘90s and now they’re back and they even have unlimited popcorn. This theater is also the only all-laser projection system in the state of Mississippi. COO/Vice President of Operations Joel Davis said, “We are actually using laser to show the light on screen. It enhances the color on the screen and gives you a color spectrum like you’ve never seen before.”

If you want to see a movie at Premiere Cinema make sure you order your tickets online or you can use one of the many kiosks to buy tickets on site. There is no box office at the theater.
