Biloxi police officers read to children at summer reading program

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Woolmarket Library had some special visitors Wednesday afternoon.

Biloxi police officers stopped by to take part in the summer reading program.

Officers chose what book they wanted to read, afterwards talking about what it is like being a police officer.

The fun didn’t end after story time. Children were able to participate in an arts and crafts station and had the chance to explore the patrol car.

The Woolmarket Library says this event is important for keeping kids reading over the summer while connecting with the community.

The library is hosting all kinds of fun events each week this summer. For more information, you can head to the Woolmarket Library’s Facebook page.
