Biloxi Police investigating two shooting incidents

Biloxi Police are investigating two shooting incidents that may be related.

Capt. Milton Houseman said the first incident happened about 10:15 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Rodenburg Avenue. Officers responded to a report of gunfire and found that a business and two apartments in the area had been hit by bullets.

While investigating the shooting, officers learned that a 21-year-old man with a superficial gunshot wound was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle. He was treated and released.

Today about 12:17 a.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots in the the 1600 block of Irish Hill Drive.

Shortly thereafter, a victim called police from a separate location, saying his vehicle had been hit by bullets as he drove past the Irish Hill Drive area. During the investigation, police learned a 17-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound. He has since been treated and released.

Houseman said that there are mutual persons of interests in the shootings.
