Biloxi pole vaulter Julie Segroves beats her own state record while claiming the 7A State Championship title

This is a name you’ve probably heard before because every track season she continues to amaze us.Our former WXXV Student Athlete of the Week, Julie segroves, just continues to give us a reason to brag!

This past Saturday, Segroves participated in the 7A track State Championship in Pearl competing in pole vaulting, and she definitely made her mark, yet again. The Junior jumped 13’4”, breaking her own personal state meet record of 13’2” she set at last year’s meet.

This is the third consecutive year that Segroves has won the Regional, South State, and State Championship titles. Big round of applause to you Julie, and we can’t wait to see all you accomplish your senior season!
