Biloxi PD investigating reports of razor blades found in bread at two Walmart locations

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)-The Biloxi Police Department is making the public aware of two incidents that have been reported regarding razor blades in bread at Walmart.

On December 15, the Biloxi PD responded to Walmart on CT Switzer Drive in response to the report. Officers also responded to the Walmart on Pass Road for the same complaint.

At this time, authorities are asking for anyone who purchased bread from these locations to carefully check for any sharp objects. If any are found, please call the police department.

On Tuesday, the department shared photos of a person of interest in this case.

In a statement to WXXV, Walmart said, “The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority. We have removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products at impacted stores in Biloxi. We appreciate law enforcement for their swift action and will continue cooperating with them as they investigate.”

“Customers who believe they may have purchased a tampered product should dispose of it promptly and visit their local Walmart for a full refund.”
We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
