Biloxi NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet
The Biloxi NAACP gathered at the IP Casino Resort for their Freedom Fund Banquet.
Reverend C.J. Rhoades II was the keynote speaker for the event. Branch members and community leaders were highlighted at the banquet and given awards for their work and support in the Biloxi community.
The annual banquet is one of the top fundraising events for the Biloxi NAACP.
Biloxi NAACP President James Crowell says that while it is important to honor branch members, it is vital to honor those who succeed in the community. “People in the community who have done exceptionally well and taking care of different issues in our community, we feel that they’re worthy of recognition for that.”
The Biloxi NAACP will host a housing town hall this Thursday, educating the public on home ownership. For more information on that event visit their Facebook page.
