Biloxi Mayor FoFo Gilich highlights progress at State of City Luncheon

The 32nd annual State of the City luncheon took place at the Beau Rivage.

Mayor Andrew ‘FoFo’ Gilich highlighted all the progress going on in the City of Biloxi. In the city address, the mayor spoke about new businesses in downtown Biloxi including Ground Zero Blues Club and Field’s Steak and Oyster Bar.

Mayor Gilich also mentioned the progress on the Saenger Theatre renovations and apartments coming in the downtown area, as well as the Biloxi Lighthouse revamping and parking additions. “There are a lot of things that started years ago that are coming out of the ground. Now that’s what the excitement is and the expectations we will be enjoying a lot of those projects, but there is no time to sit back and rest. Everyday there are challenges and you know that’s part of this job to lead our city into the future.”

Gilich says he is looking forward to more road renovations including Popp’s Ferry Road and the opening of the main gate for Keesler Air Force Base.
