Biloxi man charged with sex crimes against minor

A Biloxi man is in jail, charged with assaulting a child.

Biloxi Police say 36-year-old Michael Gilbert is charged with sexual battery and touching a child for lustful purposes. He was taken to Harrison County jail Tuesday. Bond was set at $350,000.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation that began in March after Gilbert was alleged to have assaulted a child under 16.

After an investigation, warrants were issued and Gilbert was arrested about noon Tuesday.
