Biloxi man charged with embezzling from employer

A Biloxi man has been charged with embezzling funds from Ben Nelson Golf and Outdoor.

Biloxi Police on Wednesday arrested 49-year-old Michael Parker Baronich. He was charged with embezzlement. He was taken to Harrison County jail and bond was set at $50,000.

Investigators say that from November 2023 to April 2024, Baronich was employed by the Ben Nelson store in Biloxi. He is alleged to have taken money through sales, repairs and rentals of golf carts. Police are continuing to investigate the case and could not provide an amount missing.

A felony is anything over $1,000.
