Biloxi man charged with capital rape of minor

A Biloxi man has been charged with capital rape in Gulfport.

Gulfport Police say 25-year-old Decruis Furre Tatum was arrested Monday on the charge after an investigation into a report came in regarding the sexual assault of a minor.

He was taken to the Harrison County jail and is being held on $500,000 bond.

The report came in May 13 about 3:12 a.m.  Investigators believe Tatum had sexual relations with the minor and on Monday he turned himself in to Gulfport Police. He also admitted culpability, police said.
