Biloxi man charged with aggravated assault

A Biloxi man is charged with aggravated assault after hitting another man during an argument.

Police said that on May 16, officers responded to Pass Road about 9:45 a.m. in reference to assault. The 36-year-old victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance during an argument that happened on Beauvoir Road.

According to the victim, the suspect, 47-year-old Demond Harrison, struck him several times using an object, after they began having an argument. As a result of the assault, the victim received injuries to both arms and had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Harrison was charged with aggravated assault and bond was set at $250,000. Harrison was found Monday night on Stennis Drive and was arrested without incident.
