Biloxi man arrested on aggravated assault warrant
On Saturday, December 9, 2023 around 9:47 pm, Biloxi Patrol Officers responded to the 1600 block of Pass Road in reference to assault.
Upon arrival, officers contacted a male in his 40’s suffering from an injury to his neck. Due to the injury, the victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated.
On Monday, December 11, 2023, Biloxi Police Investigators contacted the victim in an attempt to obtain additional information about the incident. The victim reported being assaulted by an unknown person, but was unable to provide additional details.
On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, Biloxi Police Officers arrested 43 year old Steven Victor Thomas of Biloxi, on a warrant for aggravated assault. The arrest stemmed from additional information received from witness statements, which aided in Biloxi Criminal Investigators identifying Thomas as the suspect. After identifying Thomas, an arrest warrant was obtained.
Biloxi Police Officers and Investigators later located Thomas and arrested him without incident. Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set Thomas’ bond at $250,000. He was later transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and processed. The victim is still listed in stable condition. There is no known relationship between the suspect and victim.
