Biloxi looking ahead in 2019

Coming off a successful year, the City of Biloxi is looking forward to bigger and better things in 2019.

Biloxi Mayor FoFo Gilich tells News 25 he’s trying to conclude a few projects from last year while trying to start a few more developments in the city.

Mayor Gilich also mentioned the success of different projects in 2018, studies regarding a convention center and new hotel opportunities.

Tourism is one of the key points going into 2019 for Biloxi. Without giving away his big plans, Mayor Gilich tells News 25 the city has a great future as an opportunity zone to attract more people down to the Coast. “The level of excitement is way up there. Without really chirping about things that are not signed, sealed and delivered, just know we are real comfortable. Biloxi is in a great position for 2019,” said Mayor Gilich.

Mayor Gilich tells News 25 one of the projects kicking off 2019 is Howard Avenue and finishing up the north contract in east Biloxi.
