Biloxi keeps playoff hopes alive with 42-35 overtime win over West Harrison

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — The Biloxi Indians held off a feisty West Harrison squad in overtime, winning 42-35 to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Indians took a 14-7 lead into the locker room, and scored their third touchdown of the night in the first 17 seconds of the third quarter. West Harrison battled back to force a nailbiter overtime, but the Indians did just enough late to secure the win.

Now, both teams — along with St. Martin — are in a battle for the fourth and final spot in the Class 7A playoffs. West Harrison’s fate will rely on other games, as the Hurricanes have a bye week to end the season. Biloxi will take on rival D’Iberville next Thursday at 7 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
