Biloxi Indians name Jamey Dubose as new football head coach
Jamey Dubose has made his way to Mississippi to coach the game that he loves.
Dubose has made eight state championship appearances in his coaching career and have five state championship rings to show for it. Three of those coming as the head coach.
He is taking over a program that finished 6-6 last season and knows that changing a program can take some time. He also understands, from first-hand experience, that if his players buy in to him as a coach that anything is possible.
“It’s an everyday process for me,” said coach Dubose. “Every day that we wake up it’s about trying to be a champion and it’s about trying to out work people every day. So that is what our program is going to be about and we are going to take it one day at a time. We have to develop people and we have to develop winners. That is what we are going to do, that is my job.”
Dubose’s first official day is January 1, but he plans to be around for the next few days to meet with players and coaches.
