BILOXI INDIANS HOLD ON TO BEAT PASCAGOULA 21-18
The Biloxi Indians were back under the Friday night lights, ready to defend their home turf in a highly anticipated Week 2 showdown against the Pascagoula Panthers. Coming off a dominant Week 1 win over Moss Point, the Panthers looked to keep the momentum going—but Biloxi had other plans.
Fast Start for Biloxi
The Indians came out swinging. On the opening drive, junior quarterback Jordan Ramsey connected with wide receiver Davie Griffin on a screen pass. Griffin weaved through defenders, putting on a highlight-reel run down to the Panthers’ 3-yard line. Ramsey then finished the drive himself with a read-option keeper, putting Biloxi on top early, 7-0.
The Panthers struggled to respond, going three-and-out on their first possession as Biloxi’s defense swarmed with intensity.
Panthers Fight Back
Pascagoula’s defense made a statement of their own soon after. Tylan Wilson, a Texas A&M commit, dropped into coverage and picked off Ramsey, flipping the momentum and giving the Panthers’ offense another shot.
But the Biloxi defense held strong. After another quick stop, Ramsey handed off to JJ Thomas, who powered into the end zone for a touchdown—only for it to be called back due to a holding penalty. The drive stalled, and Pascagoula took over once again.
Red Wave Swarms Again
On the very next possession, Panthers running back Amari Jackson fumbled the ball, and Biloxi’s William Lai (#1) pounced on the loose ball.
The turnover led to a short-field opportunity for the Indians, and Dylan Dixson capitalized, punching it in from two yards out. Calm and composed, he handed the ball to the ref like he’d been there before. Biloxi extended their lead to 14-0.
A Wild Sequence Before Halftime
Looking to answer, Pascagoula’s Jason Glaude Jr. dropped back to pass—but was intercepted by linebacker Gianni Mulgado, who nearly returned it for six before fumbling it back to the Panthers in a bizarre twist.
Backed up deep in their own territory, the Panthers handed it off to Jackson, who broke free for a big gain. But just when momentum seemed to be shifting, Glaude Jr. threw another interception, setting Biloxi up in prime position as the second quarter began.
Dixson Strikes Again
Once again in the red zone, Dylan Dixson powered through defenders for his second touchdown of the night, pushing the lead to 21-0.
Pascagoula’s Late Push
To their credit, the Panthers didn’t quit. They clawed their way back into the game, scoring 18 unanswered points to make it a one-possession game late. But Biloxi’s early dominance proved too much to overcome.
