Biloxi Indians celebrate homecoming

Big Red Nation took over the streets of Downtown Biloxi as Mardi Gras turned Biloxi pride floats paraded the Coast in celebration of homecoming week.

Athletic teams and clubs from the entire Biloxi School District were part of the parade.

It was the first time in two years the school district was able to hold the parade due to COVID and the first time in three years the district had the parade through downtown Biloxi. Biloxi High Athletic Director Tom Gladney said, “It really gets everybody all together. We got band, cheer, dance, ROTC, the football team. I hope I didn’t leave anybody out, but it just gets everybody together and on the same page. And we weren’t able to do this last year. So, two years ago we did it, but it’s a great thing this year and we’re really trying to get everybody together.”

Friday night’s homecoming game against Pascagoula kicks off at 7 p.m. The entire community is welcome to attend.
