Biloxi Firefighters Warming Up for Three Day Fill the Boot Drive for MDA
The Biloxi Fire Department and Biloxi Firefighters Local 1583 are warming up for their annual Fill the Boot drive. Each year, firefighters ask people to help them “fill the boot,” to raise money to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This annual fundraising campaign aims at raising critical funds to help transform the lives of kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases. Continuing a 65-year tradition, these Biloxi firefighters will be hitting the streets with boots in hand asking pedestrians, motorists, customers and others to make a donation to the MDA this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 am to 8:30 am and 4:30 pm to 6 pm at the following three intersections: Porter Avenue and Beach Boulevard, Popps Ferry and Pass Road and Cedar Lake and Popps Ferry.
