The Biloxi Firefighters Mission for MDA to Fill the Boot Moves to Next Week

The weather has caused Biloxi firefighters to reschedule their mission to “Fill the Boot” to continue next week.

As we reported on Monday, Biloxi firefighters were out in full force at three city intersections, including the one at Porter Avenue and Highway 90, to collect money and donations to “fill the boot,” with proceeds going to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Day one, Monday, was a picture-perfect setting weather-wise, but the weather hasn’t held out and been accommodating for what was planned as days 2 and 3 of the three-day drive, with yesterday and today’s planned collections being moved to next week instead, and yes, the mission will continue.

Look for firefighters to be posted at Biloxi intersections next Monday, November 4th and Tuesday, November 5th. Remember to stash a couple of dollars or some loose change for this year’s “Fill the Boot” fundraiser, a 65-year tradition for Biloxi firefighters. Firefighters will be collecting donations at the same times and locations next Monday and Tuesday.
