Biloxi firefighters honored for heroism

Two Biloxi firefighters were honored for their heroism this weekend.

Deputy Chief Andy Mason was awarded one of the department’s highest honors, the Phil McCabe Five Bugle Award. Mason’s award was announced during the fire department’s annual awards ceremony.

Also recognized was Firefighter Mark Dronet Jr. who jumped into the Bay of Biloxi to save a person.
