Biloxi Fire Station 4 getting kitchen makeover

Fire Station 4 on Veteran’s Avenue in Biloxi is getting a kitchen makeover.

It’s been 25 years since the Station 4 kitchen was redone and is in desperate need of a renovation. The makeover was made possible through a Home Depot grant.

The home improvement store funded the renovation, which includes materials and labor. Some firefighters also volunteered their time to help with the kitchen updates.

The kitchen is getting newly painted walls, three fridges, cabinets, and countertops. Everything in the room will be new except the stove. Biloxi Fire Assistant Chief Jason Davis said, “The administration, their goal is to have a good facility for the firefighters to work in when they come back from a call they can relax. Whether it be the kitchen, whether it be the bedroom, it’s part of our plan to continue to make our stations the best stations on the Gulf Coast.”

The fire department is hoping to have the kitchen finished in one month.
