Biloxi closes Popp’s Ferry Causeway for death investigation

Biloxi has temporarily closed the Popp’s Ferry Causeway.

Biloxi Police are on scene and are investigating a body found in the area after a call for a welfare check. The Causeway was closed about 12 p.m. while the investigation took place.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer confirmed there was a body found. He said there was no foul play indicated.

The Causeway was reopened about 2:30 p.m.
