Biloxi closes fire stations to the public because of COVID outbreak

Biloxi Fire Department has had to close its stations to the public because of a spike in COVID-19 cases among its employees.

Last week, the department had five firefighters out after being diagnosed with COVID-19, according to their Facebook post.

Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney also said on Facebook that the stations are increasing their enhanced sanitizing daily.

No word on when the stations would be open again to the public.
